High temperatures and heat index values are expected Friday and Saturday with values above 100 degrees. There is a slight chance for severe weather on Saturday afternoon and evening as well.

Please remember you are required to notify the Linn County Sheriff\'s Office Dispatch Center (913) 795-2665 prior to burning and again when your burn is completed. Failure to do so may result in a $250 fine.
